Somalia: Islamists Attack Mogadishu
Thousands of Somalis fleeing fighting around the capital have massed in a northern town, trying to cross the Gulf of Aden and sneak into Yemen, the U.N. refugee agency said Tuesday.
The exodus comes as the country’s beleaguered president prepares for a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton next week.
The UNHCR said nearly a quarter of a million Somalis had fled their homes since May 7, when newly unified Islamist insurgents launched a concerted attack on Mogadishu, the capital. The U.S. State Department says some of the insurgent leaders have links to Al Qaeda.
The nearer the Islamists get, the worse the situation gets for everyone, but specially for Christians: Muslim Converts to Christianity Targeted in Somalia
Turning back to Somalia it is now “open season” to kill Christian converts from Islam because radical Sunni Islam is on the march. Last year, for example, Sunni Muslim fanatics beheaded Mansuur Mohammed who was a Christian convert. He was beheaded in the most cruel and barbaric way and at the same time Muslims were celebrating by saying Allah Akbar (God is great).
You see, for rational people or people of compassion this act was barbaric and a crime against humanity. However, for the Muslims who did this they are following the Koran and the Hadiths and to these Islamic fanatics it is they who are following Islam to the full.
Therefore, Mansuur Mohammed had done nothing wrong in accordance to Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, or any other religion. Yet in accordance with Islam, Mansuur Mohammed was an apostate and despite him caring for humanity, this meant nothing. Given this, Sunni Islamic fanatics held him down and beheaded him while they were praying to Allah.
The last moments of Mansuur Mohammed were full of pain and just like the followers of Osama Bin Laden, the brutal killers video taped this murder, just like so many people who have been killed by fanatics in Iraq. Therefore, just like the complete annihilation of Buddhism in Afghanistan in past history, these Islamic jihadists desire the same outcome.
(…) the martyrdom of Christians in Somalia continues and in recent times we have heard about the brutal killings of innocent Christians in Somalia. The list includes Mansuur Mohammed, David Abdulwahab Mohammed Ali, Prof. Da’ud Hassan Ali, Pastor Hussein Adan Ahmed, Faarah Ibraahim Adaaweh, Pastor Liibaan Ibraahim Hassan, Ahmadey Osman Nur, and Savid Ali Sheik Luqman Hussein.
Sadly the list will continue to grow and the aim of these Islamists is to turn Somalia into a one hundred percent Islamic nation. Not that this will help Somalia because just like in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the same Islamists will then desire to kill and persecute moderate Muslims or kill Muslim minorities, for example many Shia Muslims have been killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
But this won’t be published. I have read even: let them turn the other cheek. What a shame! What a scandal!

According to police sources in Jabalya, at approximately 09:30 on Friday morning, 24 July 2009, Jawdat al-Najar, from Jabalya, gave himself up to the police station in Jabalya. He confessed that he killed his daughter, Fadia, inside his home in a late hour on Thursday. He claimed that he found a mobile phone with his daughter and she was talking with someone, which he suspected as an illegitimate relation.
Sources of the forensic medicine department at Shifa Hospital reported that there were signs of torture throughout the victim’s body, as well as a fracture in her skull due to her was hit by an iron chain.
Absolutely brutal, disturbing… don’t have words really.

Canada: honor killings on the rise, expert says
`Honour killings’ of girls and women on the rise in Canada: expert.
As many as 5,000 women and girls lose their lives – most at the hands of family members – in “honour killings” around the world each year, according to the United Nations.
Up to a dozen have died for the same reason in Canada in the last decade, and it’s happening more often, says Amin Muhammad, a psychiatrist who studies honour killings at Memorial University in Newfoundland.
“There are a number of organizations which don’t accept the idea of honour killing; they say it’s a Western-propagated myth by the media, but it’s not true,” he says. “Honour killing is there, and we should acknowledge it, and Canada should take it seriously.”
Kingston, Ont., police are now investigating that as a motive in the deaths of three teenage sisters and an older female relative who were found in a car submerged in the Rideau Canal in Kingston on June 30. The girls’ mother, father and brother were arrested on Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder.

When Islam is forwarded as a state religion in the many countries from whence Muslim immigrants originate, their society is heavily influenced by the interpretative moral authority of the religion. When it encourages violence and apartheid against women, it begets violence and apartheid. When it encourages immoral actions in the name of morality, it betrays the original purposes of religion, being one of an omnipresent moral supremacy that maintains law and order through servitude to righteousness. Murdering your children serves nobody, but the false idols of some imagined “honour”. This kind of mentality has nothing to do with culture, then, but with the prefix of that word, the “cult”. The fact is that Islam has become, for all intents and purposes, a large cult that imposes immoral authority, and forces compliance through acts of terrorism against it’s own people.

Canadian Minister Peter Van Loan has spoken against honor killings in Canada:
Public Safety Minister Peter Van Loan opened the door to tougher penalties for honour killings yesterday, saying it is a crime Canadian society cannot accept.
“This notion that it is appropriate to kill a family member because of your disapproval of their lifestyle or choices like that is simply unacceptable in our society. I have a very serious problem with that.”
(…) Van Loan said he believes the very term honour killing is “highly inappropriate” and those who move to Canada need to know that “those kinds of norms and values” are not appropriate.
“We certainly try to encourage people when they come to Canada to recognize the importance of Canadian values and to respect the laws of this country. That’s something that we expect all people who come to Canada to do.”
This is speaking clearly about the issue…
Meanwhile the lawyer of the accused of the Kingston’s murders is considering a change of venue:
Ferdoussi says the media’s talk of the crime as an “honour killing” has effectively poisoned the atmosphere in both in Kingston, where the crime happened, and Montreal, where the family lived in St. Leonard.
Well, the murdered women are murdered. This people at least, can be worried about the “poisonous atmosphere” of the place they live in.
Authorities are now fearing for the alleged murderers safety, after they have received death threats.

US: Joe Kaufman’s free speech granted against Islamic groups
Islamic Groups Lose Appeal To Silence Journalist – The Philadelphia Bulletin Archives
Seven Islamic organizations lost an appeal of a free speech ruling in the Texas Second Court of Appeals late last week, as the court upheld the rights of an internet journalist that pointed out ties of some American Islamic groups to terrorist groups.
Joe Kaufman was sued for libel by the Islamic Society of Arlington, Texas, Islamic Center of Irving, DFW Islamic Educational Center, Inc., Dar Elsalam Islamic Center, Al Hedayah Islamic Center, Islamic Association of Tarrant County, and Muslim American Society of Dallas. At issue was Mr. Kaufman’s September 28, 2007 article in which he covered the ties of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and the Islamic Association of Northern Texas (IANT) to the radical terrorist group Hamas. Neither ICNA nor IANT were plaintiffs in the suit. None of the seven plaintiffs were mentioned in the article.
The court issued a two page opinion upholding the dismissal of the libel suit, and upholding his rights as a journalist to appeal the lower court’s denial of his motion to dismiss the libel claim before a time-consuming and expensive trial. Usually, a defendant is required to wait until after a trial to appeal an unfavorable court ruling.
Really good news, specially after this other one.

Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey has confirmed controversial talks took place with a top leader of the Palestinian Islamic movement, Hamas.It comes after Israel strongly criticised a reported meeting in Geneva two weeks ago between diplomats and Mahmoud al-Zahar, a co-founder of Hamas and leader in the Gaza Strip.
“Hamas is an important political actor and must not be left out in discussions over a solution to the Middle East conflict,” Calmy-Rey told public radio on Wednesday.
She said Switzerland, unlike the European Union, did not consider Hamas a “terrorist organisation”, but condemned any terrorist activities.
Calmy-Rey gave no details of the meetings, but the Israeli ambassador to Switzerland has been invited to the foreign ministry on Thursday.
The Israeli embassy demanded an explanation as to why Switzerland gave the Palestinian delegation, apparently on a tour of several European countries, an entry visa.
“By officially receiving a Hamas delegation, Switzerland is not in line with those who advocate moderation,” an embassy statement said.

Relations between Switzerland and Israel have been strained in recent months after Swiss President Hans-Rudolf Merz received Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in April at the “Durban II” UN anti-racism conference in Geneva.
The Iranian president has triggered outrage with his repeated calls for Israel to be “wiped off the map” and his questioning of the extent of the Holocaust.
Shortly after the meeting Israel recalled its ambassador, Ilan Elgar, for consultation and to express the Jewish state’s displeasure over the meeting.
As Switzerland is a neutral country, its diplomats argue they must keep communication channels open with all parties.
But there is more:
Switzerland continues to dismay Israel, as its Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey told Swiss RSR Radio on Wednesday that while she recognizes there are terrorists, Switzerland does not have a list of terrorist organizations because it believes that while a person can be called a terrorist, an organization cannot.
Why an organization can’t be called terrorist (just as they can be called criminal) is beyond my comprehension. Swiss FM has not (to my knowledge) told those reasons.

*Swiss system is one of the toughest when regarding naturalization of foreigners. You must have no criminal record to apply for it. I guess they would never accept a Hamas terrorist in their country and yet they are having talks with them. Absolutely striking…

Spain: Moroccan attempts an Honor Killing, stabs 20 times his daughter

The Basque Autonomous Police (Ertzaintza) detained on Sunday night in Portugalete (Vizcaya) a 43-year-old man of Maghrebi origin, accused of stabbing his 20-year-old daughter 20 times and of hurting another two sons, according to the Basque Interior Department.
The attack began inside the family’s home, in Ruperto Medina’s st, when the man stabbed his older daughter. Her teenage brothers, another girl and a boy, tried to end the quarrel and got hurt. She has a cut in one hand. He fell off the stairs..
Both of them succeded in fleeing the house asking for help, while the stabbed girl got in one neighbour’s house. But the father followed the first ones and had a hard discussion with his son in the street. According to another neighbour, who was woken up by the “shouts”, everything happened very quickly. Several minutes afterwards, the Police arrived at the scene and arrested the man. “He was shouting like a mad man and was very difficult to handle”, the witness say. (…).
(…) According to the police, the dispute was caused by the cultural clash between the two generations of this family of Maghrebi origin. While the two sisters were very well known and appreciated in their Portugalete district, no one know the father.

Police are investigating on the basis that the father, Moroccan and a very strict Muslim, got angry after discovering a photo of the young 20-year-old Mumai, with a non-Muslim boy who can be her boyfriend.

The girl is now at the hospital, where she needed an emergency operation. According to doctors, she is in a serious condition.

Seven Charged With Terrorism Conspiracy In North Carolina – FBI : Homeland Security News
On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of North Carolina returned a sealed seven-count indictment against the following defendants:
* Daniel Patrick Boyd, 39, a U.S. citizen and resident of North Carolina
* Hysen Sherifi, 24, a native of Kosovo and a U.S. legal permanent resident located in North Carolina
* Anes Subasic, 33, a naturalized U.S. citizen and resident of North Carolina
* Zakariya Boyd, 20, a U.S. citizen and resident of North Carolina
* Dylan Boyd, 22, a U.S. citizen and resident of North Carolina
* Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan, 22, a U.S. citizen and resident of North Carolina
* Ziyad Yaghi, 21, a U.S. citizen and resident of North Carolina
All the defendants are charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, as well as conspiracy to murder, kidnap, maim and injure persons abroad. In addition, Daniel Boyd, Hysen Sherifi and Zakariya Boyd are each charged with possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. Daniel Boyd and Dylan Boyd are also each charged with selling a firearm to a convicted felon. Finally, Daniel Boyd is also charged with receiving a firearm through interstate commerce and two counts of making false statements in a terrorism investigation.
(…) “The indictment alleges that Daniel Boyd is a veteran of terrorist training camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan who, over the past three years, has conspired with others in this country to recruit and help young men travel overseas in order to kill. Given the weapons allegedly involved in this conspiracy and the seriousness of the charges, the many agents, analysts and prosecutors who were able to bring about this case and safely remove these defendants from our streets deserve special thanks,” said David Kris, Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division.

They did all this to hurt people “overseas” ??? If they hate America so much, why didn’t they just go down to the new convention center and set off a fucking bomb? When are people going to get it???? Lord, the Obamamessiah is in charge AND so, the era of the good relationship with (ahem…) everyone (except pro-lifers, right-wingers, etc… but this people do not belong to those groups, do they) has begun. What propaganda machine?

“These charges hammer home the point that terrorists and their supporters are not confined to the remote regions of some far away land but can grow and fester right here at home,” US Attorney George Holding said following a first court appearance of the seven defendants in a court in Raleigh, North Carolina. “Terrorists and their supporters are relentless and constant in their efforts to hurt and kill innocent people across the globe.”
In the end, they have been charged with “plotting violent jihad” (eeehhh, no, propaganda… 
) and “running a jihadi camp” (no… they just wanted to do some exercise…).
I’m sure that these guys would be the first to blame the state/police/army, etc. if there was a terrorist attacks and the terrorists had not been caught before. Oh, of course, it was all propaganda. In reality, the culprits are the CIA, the Army, Bush and the Pope.

Daniel Boyd, 39, spent three years traveling to the Middle East, secretly buying guns, and leading a group of men planning to kidnap, kill and maim people abroad, according to charges in an indictment released Monday. His family’s travels caught the attention of authorities in Israel two years ago, when they denied members of his family entry to the country, an Israeli security official told The Associated Press.

The man was buried in his birth village in the north of Iran, but the family was barred from holding any commemorative ceremonies.
Still well-wishers insisted on going to the home of the bereaved family to offer their condolences.
The Basiji militiamen detained Hashemzadeh’s father after ripping down photographs of his son and messages of condolences hanging on the walls outside the family home, according to a report by Norooz News, a Persian-language news website that is an online reincarnation of a popular and well-regarded reformist newspaper shuttered by authorities years ago.
Yesterday Khatami ordered to close a detention center:
The supreme leader has issued a strict order to ensure there is no injustice committed against anyone in the aftermath of the recent events,” said the secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, Saeed Jalili.(…)
“The detainees, especially students and academics, should be treated with justice and Islamic compassion, and if there are cases which could be ignored (forgiven), they should be freed as much as possible to prevent exploitation,” Larijani said, quoted by the ILNA news agency.
So why this “detention center” was built on the first place?
And are those Basij militiamen an example of “justice and Islamic compassion”, arresting a father for mourning his son?

Singapore: JI’s terrorist attack on Changi Airport foiled
The news about Jemaah Islamiyah keep coming:
Police say they foiled a terrorist attack on Singapore’s Changi Airport by arresting two suspects in Central Java last month.Authorities believe Sigit Hendrawan, 50, a resident of Malang, East Java, and Husaini, a Singaporean citizen, are connected to highly wanted terror suspect Noordin M Top. They were detained on June 21 by the Detachment 88 counter-terrorism unit.
“Both of them were in Solo preparing to blow up Singapore’s Changi Airport,” said Chief Comr. Joko Irwanto.
Solo Police told the Jakarta Globe that Hendrawan was receiving an undisclosed amount of money, wired to an Indonesian account from Singapore every two weeks, which they believe was being used to finance the planned attack.

Malaysian police are questioning three detained supporters of Southeast Asia’s most-wanted Muslim militant as part of a probe into last week’s hotel bomb blasts in the Indonesian capital, a minister said Tuesday.
Police intelligence has determined that Noordin Mohammad Top, a Malaysian, is not in the country, but police were watching the movement of his supporters, Home Affairs Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said.
“We are monitoring them. In fact, we detained three of them just before the bombing in Jakarta. They are helping us in the investigation,” the minister told reporters.
The three men are all Malaysians and suspected members of the Jemaah Islamiyah regional terror group, he said. He didn’t give details, but police earlier this month said they had arrested three suspected JI members in southern Johor state on June 25.
Indonesian authorities are hunting for Noordin, who has been linked to four earlier attacks in Indonesia since 2002. He leads a JI offshoot, Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad, which he reportedly called the “al-Qaida for the Malay archipelago.” Its aim is to create a common Muslim state in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines.
The places where this guy is precisely helps him stay away from raids. As he is not the terrorist carrying on the massacre, it is going to be somewhat difficult to catch him.

Denmark: Islamic terrorist deported after being arrested in Iraq

The Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) has deported a suspected terrorist after he was arrested in Iraq.
Politiken newspaper learned from an internal source that the man, who has been a permanent Danish resident since 2002, was subject to the secret administrative deportation order and remains in an Iraqi prison. The administrative deportation means that even though the man was in Iraq during the hearing, he will never be allowed to return to Denmark.
The 37-year-old known as Aslan is one of ten foreign-born people that have had their residency revoked in recent years and deported because PET believes they present a serious risk to state security.
The law allowing these kinds of deportations was introduced seven years ago and they have been plagued with controversy as PET does not have to make their evidence public as to why they want the residency revoked and the suspect deported.
Aslan originally came to Denmark from Iraq in 1997 and received his residency in 2002. According to his family, he returned to Iraq in 2005 for marriage but was later arrested by the US military there on suspicion of terrorism.
According to PET telephone transcripts seen by the newspaper, Aslan had numerous contact with other men suspected of planning terror attacks in Denmark.
