Iran: 34 people hanged in less than a week

The state-run Fars news agency reported that 20 people were hanged this morning in Rajai-Shahr prison (Gohardasht) west of Tehran. In addition, the state-run Etemad daily reported today that two other prisoners were hanged in the city of Shiraz, southern Iran.

The hangings today follow 12 other executions which took place earlier this week in Tehran and Qom, south of the capital.

The new wave of hangings in Iran comes as millions of Iranians are taking part in a nationwide uprising which was sparked by the mullahs’ sham election on June 12.

The silence and the inattentiveness of the western media could be a cause of the massacres and the strict-assumptions of the executions.

UK: Abu Izzadeen Sent Back To Jail

Abu Izzadeen trained and worked as a BT technician, but stopped working to spend more time speaking at mosques and went on to become a member of the now banned al Muhajiroun group.

Abu Izzadeen trained and worked as a BT technician, but stopped working to spend more time speaking at mosques and went on to become a member of the now banned al Muhajiroun group.

Radical Muslim preacher Abu Izzadeen has been returned to prison after breaching the terms of his release, BBC News understands.

Izzadeen, also knows as Omar Brooks, was released from prison in May after his four-and-a-half-year sentence for inciting terrorism was cut on appeal.

He was found guilty in 2008 of urging worshippers at a London mosque to fight US and British troops in Iran.

Izzadeen had been released under tight restrictions, which included a curfew and monitoring arrangements involving both police and probation officers.
