UN: Sec Council asked to consider “green helmets”

An article in The Guardian recently reported that a special meeting of the UN Security Council will be asked to consider the concept of “a new environmental peacekeeping force – green helmets – which could step into conflicts caused by shrinking resources.”

via The Green Police Are No Longer A Joke – The UN May Create An Army Of “Green Helmets” To Fight Climate Change.

Read it all – it’s somewhat chilling… UN peacekeeping soldiers have been ineffective to prevent conflicts or to end them. There have been horrific news about their abuses. And now they want to create another UN service “environment-keeping” while at the same time a New Peer-reviewed study proves Global warming is a hoax:

When the new data is combined with existing NOAA and NASA data the study reflects  that for 25 years and counting, carbon dioxide emissions have directly and indirectly trapped far less heat than alarmist computer models have predicted.

The bottom line is that the basic premise of the global warming hoaxers is between all of the coal, cars, human exhalation etc, CO2 is collecting in the atmosphere and trapping a certain amount of heat preventing it from escaping into space and eventually heating to the planet up and causing us all do die by heat, drowning and skanky beer. But by simply looking out the window this new study proves that far less heat is being trapped in the earth’s atmosphere and it is escaping much faster meaning you will still be able to attempt to hike to the North Pole a decade from now and NY is not going to be buried under the ocean (well not because of global  warming anyway).

UN delinks Al-Qaeda and the Taliban

The separate resolutions would symbolically delink al-Qaida and the Taliban and recognize their different agendas. While Al-Qaida is focused on worldwide jihad against the West and establishment of a religious state in the Muslim world, Taliban militants have focused on their own country and have shown little interest in attacking targets abroad.

Germany’s U.N. Ambassador Peter Wittig, who chairs the Security Council committee that currently monitors sanctions against the two groups, told reporters in Kabul earlier this month that separating the sanctions regimes would futher highlight “the significance of the political efforts that are ongoing in Afghanistan.”

Of course, none of us knew this. We have been waiting for the UN to reveal such a huge discovery… 🙄

Syrian refugees identify Iranian Basijs in the repression

President Bashar al-Assad of Syria

The violent intervention of the Bashar al-Asad’s army in the town of Jisr al Shugur has already caused the flight to neighboring Turkey of more than 2,500 Syrians, amid evidence that Iran is not only behind the Syrian repressive apparatus, but Basij militants are participating directly in the operations of punishment. We can add to that, the lack of agreement in the Security Council to bring forward a UN resolution of condemnation, because of opposition from Russia and China, with veto power, and Brazil.

The testimonies of several wounded admitted to the hospital in Antioch involve Iranian agents who shot to protesters trying to disperse them in the city of Idlib, May 20, as recorded by the France Press correspondent in this city in Turkey. “There were policemen in civilian clothes, but also Iranian soldiers, ” Mustafa told through her bed, a young seller of metal shot in the leg and arm. “I saw with my own eyes: we ask you not to attack us, but did not speak Arabic. ” “They had beards, and the Syrian army is prohibited, ” the trader added, evoking also a black uniform unknown in Syria. Akram, a 17-year-old also shot, has no doubts: “They were Basij [volunteer Iranian Islamic militants]. “

UN Report: Iran was caught 10 times sending weapons to terrorists

Iran was caught 10 times in recent years, transferring weapons to terrorist groups in the Middle East. These illegal activities included sending in April a shipment of advanced missiles which was intercepted while it was being sent to the Taliban in Afghanistan, according to a United Nations report released by the Jerusalem Post.

The report, prepared by an independent panel of experts from the UN, which monitors compliance with UN sanctions imposed on Tehran, was elevated to the Security Council of the UN. The report was leaked to the Internet and picked up by Israeli defense analysts.

The report documents 10 cases of illegal shipment of weapons, including the cargo ship Victoria, who was arrested by the Israel Navy, earlier this year, with several containers full of weapons to Hamas.

China, Russia and Brazil, against sanctioning Syrian regime

“There is no consensus”, stated the Brazilian foreign minister, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, speaking about the European proposal for the UN’s resolution to condemn the Syrian regime for the violent repression of demonstrations. The diplomat stated that “it is unclear whether Lebanon, the only Arab country on the Security Council, would support it or not. ”

European countries of the UN executive body (France, Britain, Germany and Portugal) supported by the United States have submitted a draft resolution to the 15-member Council to condemn the government of Bashar Assad. However, both China and Russia have veto power. Both of them and Brazil have expressed their misgivings.

The 15 countries were due to reconvene on Wednesday to address the issue, although the vote could take several days. At present the highest international security body is composed, in addition to the above countries, also by Bosnia-Herzegovina, Gabon, Nigeria, Colombia, Germany, India, Portugal and South Africa.

Somalia: half of UN aid sent is stolen

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, B...

The Guardian:

Up to half the food aid meant to feed hundreds of thousands of hungry people in Somalia is being stolen, according to a leaked UN security council report.

The report, seen by the New York Times, says the food is being diverted to corrupt contractors, radical Islamic militants and local UN workers. It advises the UN secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, to open an independent investigation into the organisation’s world food programme operations in Somalia.

The losses are blamed on improper food distribution and the country’s war-ravaged infrastructure.

The bags of food have to be driven through roadblocks manned by a bewildering array of militias, insurgents and bandits.

Not only are kidnappings and executions common, the country’s insecurity also makes it difficult for senior UN officials to travel to the country to check on procedures. Investigators who do go there run the risk of relying for protection on the same people they are examining.

The worst of it all is that the own UN workers are stealing it. We will see what Ban Ki-Moon does about this, but remember that UN budget is paid with our own taxes, so these guys are stealing us too.

In the end, there is only one question that is important here: what’s going to do the UN with this?
