US: Muslim’s First Foreign policy

Barack Obama

In France, American embassies and consulates have been directed to “empower” Muslim and push for the passage of “social reforms” that will benefit them. In the UK, American diplomats were directed to again “empower” Muslims and made outreach to them a top priority. In Israel, the US consulate in Jerusalem caters only to Muslims and does its best to pretend that Jews and Israel don’t even exist. And when Obama visited Greece, what else did he do but push the political and religious authorities to open more mosques and Islamic schools. America’s own interests and our obligations to our allies have been put aside to focus on a single goal of overriding importance. Pandering to the Muslim world. It’s as if we have no other foreign policy goal anymore beyond keeping Muslims happy.

The United States has its first Special Representative to Muslim Communities in the person of Farah Pandith. We also have Rashad Hussain, a Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. (No relation to Barack Hussein Obama. The name Hussain is common among Muslims as a tribute to Mohammed’s grandson, Hussain ibn Ali, the ‘Martyr Of Martyrs’ in Islam.) Hussain (Rashad, not Barack) had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, which helped create both Al Qaeda and Hamas, and defended Islamic Jihad leader Sami Al-Arian. Farah Pandith is a Kashmiri Muslim who began her career as Barbara Bush’s secretary. But just creating two new Muslim posts in the diplomatic sector isn’t enough.

NASA Administrator Bolden told Al Jazeera that the agency’s new priority is outreach to Muslims. After gutting NASA and killing its space program, the agency focused on its new top priority by appointing Waleed Abdalati, as its new Chief Scientist. Waleed Abdalati is a twofer, as a Muslim and a Global Warming researcher. So the Obama Administration gets to kill off the space program and replace it with Global Warming junk science headed by a Muslim. It’s what the devil would call synergy.

I find this very worrying in its over-simplification. President Obama is at least showing he is aware of some of the complexities in the Middle East. For example he pressed for continued aid for Egypt (another of your pesky Muslim governments)and was largely turned down by the republican vote. As a consequence the new shaky government in Egypt is now finding no reason to act as a continuing moderating force with Israel and is moving to cut off their gas supply. That one of the presidential republican hopefuls in the debate a few days ago was protesting the US military presence on the common border between Iraq and Afghanistan when there is a whole country (Iran) between them suggests to me that it is not only Sarah Palin in the US who is profoundly ignorant about the world. It may have escaped your notice that Saudi Arabia with its anti democratic Islamic form of government is in fact the only hope the US has of keeping its oil supply coming. George W Bush’s alternative approach to Muslims ie the “Crusader – teach them a lesson” approach was not only ignorant, it profoundly escalated the violence in the form of terrorism through the world and has been a key factor in driving the US to the verge of bankrupcy. That President Obama is moving to deescalate the tension obviously appears to you – and I suspect many in the US – as a sell-out. To many of us viewing from outside the US it is the first ray of hope that someone in the US is aware that the world is actually a complex place and that sooner or later someone has to start making friends with their potential enemies.

First, I am NO US NATIONAL, I’m Spanish, so please, don’t generalise. That is the opinion of a very good blogger (Sultan Knish), so why instead of commenting here don’t you go over his blog to comment about this “injustice”?

Secondly, the diplomatic service of a country is NOT built to support one part of the population, its stablishment or foundation is required to support the interests of the Nation that pays those civil servants, without any distinction between its citizens. It’s called equality.

Thirdly, I don’t see any move throughout the Muslim world that would indicate this policy is being appreciated. No, it doesn’t have anything to do with the “Crusades” (lord, what a boooooring argument… Muslims where the ones who invaded everything, including MY country), it has to do with the obligation any country has nowadays, of protecting their citizens, without any disctinction of religion (in this case), something that is not fulfilled by any Islamic nation (not even democratic ones such as Turkey or Indonesia, where discrimination against non-Muslims is shameful). But do you know that Muslim countries don’t have to respect Human Rights, because they signed the “Cairo Declaration” in 1990, that says that Human Rights would be respected ONLY if they are in accordance with Sharia Law? In particular they don’t recognise freedom of religion (apostates are sentenced to death penalty in Islam). They consider they are “Judeo-Christian”, considering then that human beings are not born equals, as they don’t have the same rights recognised by law.

So, no, I don’t see any kind of “ray of light” here. I only see more caving into religious intolerance.🙄

Totally agreeing with him. I’m an INDIAN. Even my country was invaded by Muslims. We were not as lucky as the Spaniards in driving off the Muslims. The result is Kashmir which wants its independence coz the majority is Muslim ( all converted from Hinduism). If we talk of religious tolerance.. Islam should never be consedered.

Firstly, you don’t have to write in capital letters, because we all see quite well. And do you know what that means? That you are screaming…😆

What is the reason? Well, let me see:

AS THEY ALL ATTENDED FRIDAY PRAY IN MASJIDS (MOSQUES) THEN LEFT 1 US $ FOR POORS & HUNGERS ALL AROUND THE WORLD TO OBEY ALLAH LAWS

So if you don’t obey Allah’s laws there is no help for you, am I right? Yes, we have seen it in Pakistan last year for example after the earthquake (Convert to Islam or you’re not getting aid).

But that’s not the point: what do you think about people leaving Islam and believing in other religion? What do you think about Freedom of conscience? What do you think about stoning, amputations, floggings, etc? Are those acts “good behaviour” for you?

Well, all those acts are really infringements of Human Rights…

    Have a good day!

  4. Empower Muslims? As if that we needed!

  5. […] there is even more, which links to this “Muslim’s First Policy” Obama is so keen about: The 44th president has just appointed Azizah al-Hibri to the United States Commission on […]

  6. […] This is hardly surprising… Elliot Abrams, a deputy national security adviser handling Middle East affairs under President Bush, noted that Muslim Brotherhood positions on women, on freedom of religion and on religious tests for candidacy to public office are all “an anathema” to the USA. He went on to explain that there is a great likelihood that those in the Muslim Brotherhood who preach the need for the supremacy of Shari’a law in Arab states will prevail. Nonetheless, he agrees with the President that formal contacts with the Muslim Brotherhood open the doors to American influence, and that influence may moderate the Brotherhood’s extremist Islamists positions. In addition he expressed the belief that there are divisions in the Brotherhood which could be exploited and deepened by meetings with American representatives. […]
