“Islam not invasive”: Impositions rise in French public state schools

Teachers often faced objections when they taught courses about world religions, the Holocaust or France’s war in Algeria, or discussed events related to Israel and the Palestinians or American military actions in Muslim countries, the study said.

Teachers regularly find that Muslim parents refuse to have their children learn about Christianity,” it said. “Some think it amounts to evangelisation.”

Anti-Semitism … surfaces during courses about the Holocaust, such as inappropriate jokes and refusals to watch films” about Nazi concentration camps, it said. “Tensions often come from pupils who identify themselves as Muslims.”

Teachers found they could discuss the trans-atlantic slave trade but met criticism from pupils when they brought up the history of slavery within Africa or in the Middle East.

Reflecting the promotion of anti-Darwinist thinking in Muslim countries, “evolution is challenged by pupils who posit divine or creationist action without any argument for it.”

In some areas with large immigrant populations, many pupils shun school cafeterias for religious reasons, even though most offer alternative dishes when pork is on the menu.

Demand for halal menus is strong, even for the very young in public crèches,” it said. “In some cities, there are petitions for halal — and sometimes kosher — meals.”

The report stressed the state could allow alternatives to pork but could not allow halal or kosher meals because the price for ritually slaughtered meat included a tax paid to religious organisations that certify the food was properly prepared.

Don’t criticize us, while we can criticize others. Don’t let our children listen to other religions’ teners, just in case they convert to them. The Holocaust is a lie. Only white men had slaves, Muslims never. Etc. etc. etc.

This is not education: education has to be done on a free basis, searching for truth and being flexible, not trying to impose your own “beliefs” on others.

Iranian Mullahcracy to “protect” women’s rights?

“Once the President has received the investment from the Supreme Leader, the holiness of the Supreme Leader is transferred to him as well, therefore people should obey the President as if they obey God.”

Iran, where a woman convicted of adultery has been sentenced to death by stoning, is likely to become a member of the board of the new UN agency to promote equality for women, prompting outrage from the US and human rights groups.

Some rights groups are also upset that Saudi Arabia, where women are not allowed to drive and are barred from many facilities used by men, is also vying to join the governing body of UN Women.

The General Assembly resolution adopted in July that merged four UN bodies dealing with women’s issues into a single agency with greater clout to represent half the world’s population calls for a 41-member executive board, with 35 members chosen by regional groups and six representing donor nations.

Mark Kornblau, spokesman for the US Mission, said Wednesday that Iran’s membership “would send the wrong signal at the start of this exciting new initiative.”

Who are in better conditions than four years ago?

Leire Pajín

The new Spanish Minister for Health,Social Policies and Equality, Leire Pajín, has said that “families are in much better conditions now than 6 years ago, because of Socialist policies“.

Opposition MPs have reminded her that “2,5% can’t afford to eat meat nor fish, 7.7% can’t afford to pay the house rent or its mortgage and 37% can’t afford to cope with a unexpected payment“.

But numbers from charity NGO Cáritas are really bad: “In the last two years, the number of users cared for by Cáritas’ hosting net has doubled. In 2007 there were 370,251, in 2008, 633,315 and in 2009 786,273“.

I don’t know what the hell this woman is thinking about. That we are all idiots? Or in the “Socialists” (and other politicians) whose lifes have improved during these past six years?

Well, I guess this guy does not agree with Miss Pajín…

US: Man arrested over “plot to bomb Washington DC metro”

A man has been arrested over a plot to bomb subway stations in the US capital.

Farooque Ahmed, 34, of Ashburn, Virginia was conspiring with people he believed were from al-Qaeda, the Department of Justice said.

Mr Ahmed was taken into custody on Wednesday morning. If convicted he faces up to 50 years in prison.

The suspect allegedly conducted surveillance of a metro station in Arlington, on the outskirts of Washington, DC, on four occasions.

It’s chilling that a man from Ashburn is accused of casing rail stations with the goal of killing as many Metro riders as possible through simultaneous bomb attacks,” said US attorney Neil MacBride.

Today’s arrest highlights the terrorism threat that exists in northern Virginia and our ability to find those seeking to harm US citizens and neutralise them before they can act.”

Officials said the public were never in danger during the investigation and that they had been aware of Mr Ahmed since the beginning.

Mr Ahmed, who was born in Pakistan, has been indicted on three counts.

These are attempting to provide material support to a designated terrorist organisation, collecting information to assist in planning a terrorist attack on a transit facility, and attempting to provide material support to help carry out multiple bombings.

And again: another Muslim wants to bomb whatever place in the name of Islam. Why Muslim groups doesn’t call him an “Islamophobe“? Because this man really has a phobia of Islam to kill in its name. Or hasn’t he?

Iran: Jailed Human Rights lawyer on hunger strike, journalist imprisoned

Both are women who oppose the mullahcracy. And so, the first one, began a hunger strike for over three weeks, but since a fornight ago, there are no news about her.

No one has any word on the health of jailed Iranian human rights attorney Nasrine Sotoudeh, who began a hunger strike four weeks ago. She’s now been held in solitary confinement for more than 45 days, ever since her Sept. 4 arrest, and is said to be on hunger strike, according to her husband, Reza Khandan.

Khandan said the last time he spoke to his wife was in a brief phone conversation over two weeks ago. She told him she had begun a hunger strike 11 days earlier, on Sept. 25.

It lasted three seconds, because as soon as she mentioned the words ‘hunger strike’ and ‘threat’ her phone was cut off,” he said.

Sotoudeh is among the small cadre of lawyers dedicated to defending dissidents, minorities and women’s who’ve run afoul of Iran’s legal system. Earlier this year, she became enraged when one of her clients was executed without her knowledge.

Now she finds herself inside the very prison were many of her clients have been held, and her supporters are growing worried for the petite mother of two.

Since the beginning of her arrest she has been in solitary confinement,” Khandan said. “We have not managed to get permission to meet her or find some middlemen to convey the messages of those who want her to end her hunger strike.”

And another one has been imprisoned and banned from journalism. She was a signatory of the One Million Signatures Campaign to end discriminatory laws against women in Iran.

An Iranian appellate court approved one year prison term and 30 years ban from journalism for Jila BaniYaghoub, prominent Iranian journalist and women’s rights activist.

Free-Journalists website reports that the preliminary sentence which was handed to BaniYaghoub for the charge of “propaganda against the regime” was confirmed by the Tehran appellate court.

…Jila Bani-Yaghoub was arrested last summer along with her husband, Bahman Ahmadi Amouyi, another journalist.

She was released after two months in prison on bail but her husband remains behind bars.

Bani-Yaghoub has collaborated with several prominent Iranian newspapers including Hamshahri, Khordad and Aftob-e Emrooz. She is also a member of the One Million Signatures Campaign to end discriminatory laws, and the 2009 recipient of Courage in Journalism award.

BaniYaghoub’s husband, Bahman Ahmadi Amouyi is currently serving a five-year sentence in Evin Prison.

Pakistan: “Suicide bombings are ticket to heaven”, Taliban school teaches

After a suicide bomber was arrested on Monday, Oct 25 from one of the Taliban’s schools in Pakistan, he revealed the institution would teach them that the ticket to heaven is by becoming a suicide bomber.

Sources said 16-year-old Mohammad Salaam made many of the Taliban leaders and they would train him how to blow himself up in public places.

He even revealed to sources that the leaders would tell them saying, “we do not know the fate of those who will be killed in our attack, but one thing was certain: we will definitely go to heaven.”

“My meetings with leader Shar Rehman and other leaders were usually at night, and never in public gatherings”.

“I was told that if I disclose my relations with them, they will behead my family and me,” Salaam said.

But, hey, the wrong thing is not to teach this, no. It’s to denounce that this actually happens…. 😡

Hirsi Ali: “Islam is more than a religion”

Ayaan Hirsi Ali

I guess she can’t be call a “racist”, being Black as she is. And being an ex-Muslim she knows more than many who speak about “Islamophobia“.

“I’m frustrated with the continuous belief and, I think, self-delusion that Islam is only a religion,” she said. “Islam is more than a religion. It does have a spiritual dimension … but there is another dimension to Islam – a political dimension.”

In general terms, religious tolerance is understood to be the willingness to recognize and respect the beliefs and practices of others, she noted. But there are different levels of tolerance, she added.

“For instance, if you oppose smoking you may think of yourself as tolerant of smokers but it’s different when you allow a smoker in your house … to smoke,” the now atheist pointed out.

The Prophet Muhammad defined the state of peace and tolerance as a moment when the entire world submits to Allah and embraces Islam, said Hirsi Ali, who fled from her Muslim family and an arranged marriage in her early twenties and sought asylum in the Netherlands.

via Ex-Muslim: Proposal that Islam is Tolerant is Fallacious, Dangerous | Christianpost.com.

Related: Hirsi Ali debates whether Islam is a Religion of Peace, wins in a rout. So, is it stupid to ask the question because “Islam is no more a religion of peace than any other”, but it’s not stupid to say it once and again?

“Islam not invasive”: ” Separation of religion and state is not an option for Muslims because it requires us to abandon Allah’s decree for that of a man”

The basic belief in Islam is that the Qur’an is one hundred percent the word of Allah, and the Sunna was also as a result of the guidance of Allah to the Prophet sallallahu allayhe wasalam. Islam cannot be separated from the state because it guides us through every detail of running the state and our lives. Muslims have no choice but to reject secularism for it excludes the law of Allah.

Secularists in the West will agree with this, then they will point out that under Islamic law, people are not all equal. No non-Muslim, for example, could become the president. Well, in response to that fact, in turn, secularism is no different. No Muslim could become president in a secular regime, for in order to pledge loyalty to the constitution, a Muslim would have to abandon part of his belief and embrace the belief of secularism — which is practically another religion. For Muslims, the word ‘religion’ does not only refer to a collection of beliefs and rituals, it refers to a way of life which includes all values, behaviours, and details of living.

Secularism cannot be a solution for countries with a Muslim majority or even a sizeable minority, for it requires people to replace their God-given beliefs with an entirely different set of man-made beliefs. Separation of religion and state is not an option for Muslims because is requires us to abandon Allah’s decree for that of a man.

via Re: Decoupling the Muslim Church from the Muslim State :: Political News and commentaries :: Hyscience.

Of course, secular Muslims will protest against this. I know that they are really against this kind of teachings. Unluckily the majority of Muslims support the ideas that are written above:

two-thirds (see the weighted average calculated hereof a well-conducted survey of the world’s most significant and populous Arab and non-Arab Muslim countries — want these immoderate outcomes: ‘strict application’ of Shari’a, Islamic Law, and a global Caliphate. Specifically, the World Public Opinion.org/ University of Maryland poll (released February 25, 2009) indicated the following about our putative Muslim ally nations of Egypt and Pakistan: 81% of the Muslims of ‘moderate‘ Egypt, the largest Arab Muslim nation, desire a ‘strict‘ application of Shari’a, Islamic Law; 76% of the Pakistan’s Muslims — one of the most important and sizable non-Arab Muslim populations — also want this outcome. Furthermore, 70% of Egyptian Muslims and 69% of Pakistani Muslims desire the recreation of a ‘single Islamic state or Caliphate.’

Project: Challenge Radio

The objective of this project, according to its proponent, is providing conservatives with another tool to fight against the obvious leftist dominance in the media. Despite the great number of conservative blogs and websites, there are very few citizens’ conservative talk radio programs in Europe, something which diminishes our possibilities of making people aware of what’s going on. Normally, radios reach more people than any website and are much more dynamic and appealing than them.

In the US recently, Conservative Talk Radio has made a tremendous impact on the political arena in alerting the public about:
1.- the efforts of the left in power to “fundamentally transform US”.
2.- appeasement to the Islamic supremacists”.

Given the present situation of Europe, a Talk Radio of this nature is more than needed. It also should be very appealing to listeners, as it is not limited by space or time, as the programs can be listened to wherever the user wants to. The main inconvenient could be the laws which limit the freedom of expression, which are much harder than in the US.

Conservative Talk Radio can be named as “Challenge Radio”, which is just a tentative working name and its s subjects could be anything interesting to the listeners from a Conservative perspective, although the fight against Islamic supremacism would have an important place. As his proponent says, “the Challenge Radio concept sets forth unique strategies which have the potential to legally circumvent restrictive European speech laws and deflect any outright coercion and threats of all types by Leftists and their Islamic Supremacist allies“.

At the present stage it’s just a project. To read more go here.

DISCLAIMER: It’s not my project, and I am only giving it publicity because I think a citizens’ radio is necessary in Europe. But it’s not an endorsement. I will give it when I see what people and/or groups give support to it. Anyway, I thank Michael for having asked me to promote his project. I hope it really gives very good results.
