Raúl Castro, Hugo Chávez and Evo Morales: what a trio!!

On the 200 anniversary of Venezuelan independence’s acts:

Raúl Castro said that Venezuela and Cuba “are increasingly the same thing” and added that he goes back to Cuba very satisfied, because “all our meetings are very important, whether we hold htem here or in Habana”.

On the other hand, Hugo Chávez, took his chance to ratify that he agrees with the “magnificent”speech that Bolivian president, Evo Morales, gave, in which he spoke about “Mother Earth”.

That speech was pretty interesting indeed. In it, Evo Morales, who was named “World Hero of the Mother Earth (Pachamama)” by the UN last year, has said that coke serves as a plunger and transgenic chickens produce baldness and homosexuality because for growing them, female hormones are used. He also critisized in similar ways Dutch potatoes (video in Spanish).

Evo is also supporting “Coca Colla”, a drink made with cocaine, which its producers are hoping would be a Coca-Cola’s competitor in the market. No imperialistic drinks in Bolivia!!

If these guys didn’t have power over so much people (and in Cuba’s case for so many years, now) this would be funny. As it is, they are only a disgrace.

Somalia: implement Sharia Law and foreign troops unwelcome, clerics say

This is the Government we are supporting. No Al-Shabab, no Al-Qaeda here:

the Islamic scholars jointly issued a 12 point communiqué that highlights the current scenarios facing Somalia, and condemning many un-Islamic practices used to fuel the escalating conflict and also warning the people.

They called on the Muslims to strictly follow the Islamic way of life and adhere to the ways in which Prophet Muhammad (…) used in reaching out to the population.

Authorities in Somalia were urged to implement the Islamic Shari’ah Law in the areas they control.

The Islamic clerics warned of legitimizing shedding Muslim blood in the “disguise of fighting for Islam” and also tagging a Muslim person as an infidel without taking the due process.

Hey, with the “due process” you can tag a Muslim person as infidel. So imagine someone who is not a Muslim…

“Somalis are Muslims and they need to be calmly corrected in terms of their faith, culture and behavior. So, it is not acceptable for these groups fighting in Somalia to judge each other and other people as apostate,” reads the communiqué issued at the conclusion of the Islamic conference in Garowe.

The clerics also agreed that the war that is going on in Somalia is an “incitement”rather than a holy war (jihad), as claimed by the Islamist insurgent factions like Al Shabaab.

The communiqué condemned the presence of foreign troops in the country, saying they are not welcomed by the Somali people. Mogadishu is home to about 5,300 soldiers from Uganda and Burundi who are serving under an African Union peacekeeping mandate.

The presence of foreign troops inside the war-torn country is “dangerous to the religion and socio-political well being of the population,” it adds. (Oh, wait, their Muslim “purity” could be contaminated by non-Muslim forigners… Bunch of racists Islamic supremacists…)

Acts of piracy along the Somalia’s coastline was also condemned in the communiqué, terming it “dangerous and shameful to Islam” and also degrading the people’s way of life.

The Somali Islamic scholars proposed a large reconciliation conference to be held inside Somalia, which would bring together all the Islamic scholars to discuss the way forward in the bid to find a lasting solution for the swelling problems that face Somalia at the moment.

Who would they be reconciled with? Al Shabab?

Has African Union something to say about it? [I think Lybia is now chairing it, so, ... no] Has Ban “I make trips to condemn Israelis but never when it’s a Muslim country” Ki-Moon sais something about this “peaceful” communiqué?

Gaza: Hamas "raises" taxes, burns "painkillers" and confiscates cigarettes

Well, in reality that’s an euphemism. The terrorist organization is not raising the taxes, they are just asking anyone which is “doing” a non-taxed “activity” to pay… without any law that says expressly why they should pay and what amount:

In the last couple of weeks, Gaza Strip store keepers, owners of supermarkets and grocery stores complained that the deposed government of Hamas movement in Gaza is imposing unreasonable and unfair taxes on products such as cigarettes, cars, motorcycles, electric generators and fuels.

“They (Hamas government) are searching for any reason to collect money from the poor people who have been suffering from the Israeli siege, which shows the real financial crisis that Hamas is passing through these days,” Abu Ahmed, another store keeper who declined to give his full name, told Xinhua.

Mohsen Abu Ramadan, a Gaza-based economist, told Xinhua that any government in the world “has the right to collect taxes from the people, but in accordance with a transparent and clear law of taxes and customs,” adding “unfortunately, the tax situation in Gaza doesn’t have any basic law.”

“Normally, the population who pay regular taxes or customs to their states and governments usually get benefits in return, however, we don’t feel that we have in Gaza such a fact, but because the government in Gaza passes through a fiscal crisis, it wanted to fulfill the deficiency by collecting taxes,” he said.

But there’s more:

Gaza’s Hamas rulers on Tuesday burned nearly 2 million pills of a painkiller many Gazans take recreationally because they say it relaxes them and provides temporary relief from the territory’s hardships.

The disposal of the drugs comes days after the Islamic militant group confiscated cigarettes from Gaza shops to collect taxes on them. Both moves are part of Hamas’ efforts to strengthen its grip on Gaza and impose its strict interpretation of Islam on the impoverished seaside territory’s 1.5 million Palestinian residents.

Hamas Health Minister Basim Naim said authorities burned some 1.7 million pills of a drug called Tramadol that had been seized from smugglers who sneak it through tunnels under the Egyptian border. (Those tunnels are only for smuggling weapons to use them against the Jooooozzz).

Tramadol is a powerful painkiller, related to morphine and heroin, though most countries don’t treat it as a controlled substance. Experts have said that those who stop taking the drug after regular use often develop flulike withdrawal symptoms, though long-term effects are rare.

So, let me explain this. People who we are informed that don’t have anything to eat, even if they rank up to be one of the fattest people in the world and where the gold market is actually flourishing, are using “recreational drugs to enhance sex” (see below)!

But hey they culprit for Gazans taking Tramadol is… of course, Israel and Cast Lead operation:

In late 2008, Israel launched a 3-week offensive in Gaza to stop militant rocket fire on Israeli towns. The war killed about 1,400 Gazans and left vast swaths of the strip in ruins.

The violence and hardship only increased demand for Tramadol, which Gazans who take it recreationally say takes their minds off their worries. Other say it delays ejaculation, enhancing sex. A sheet of eight pills costs around 40 shekels, or a little over $10.

Are they going EVER to feel responsible of having Hamas as their Government or are they going to continue blaming Israel till the end of time?

Belgium: Parliament fails to pass burqa ban

A party, Open VLD, quitted the coalition government, so the ban failed to pass. The right time for doing so, hein? Just the day when the ban was going to be debated and possibly passed.

Belgium’s parliament on Monday failed to pass a law banning the wearing of burqa and niqab in public as the coalition government collapsed with the resignation of the prime minister.

The center-right Flemish liberal party Open VLD quit the coalition, forcing Prime Minister Yves Leterme to resign and halting parliamentary debate over a bill banning the face and body cover and face veil traditionally worn by Muslim women.

Under the proposed law, violators of the burqa and niqab ban would be fined $17 to $28. Violators also face seven days of imprisonment.

Passage of the law would have made Belgium the first European country to ban the Islamic apparel.

And you know the cause of the split? Because Open VLD speak Dutch while the rest of the coalition are francophones! So:

Belgian Premier Yves Leterme’s government collapsed on Thursday after negotiations broke down to resolve a long-simmering dispute between Dutch and French-speaking politicians over a bilingual voting district.

Yes, and it was yesterday when they reached the conclusion than they didn’t agree on that point. La leche!! What stupid guys!!

did you know that Muslims discovered America? Or that Jerusalem is an Arab city? That’s just some of the “history” that students in America’s K-12 classrooms have been taught in recent years–with the help of taxpayer money.

A new report by the non-profit Institute for Jewish and Community Research finds that American high school and elementary textbooks contain countless inaccuracies about Christianity, Judaism, Israel and the Middle East.

The Institute examined 28 of the most widely-used history, geography and social studies textbooks in America. It found at least 500 errors.

One book ignored the Jewish roots of Christianity, saying the faith was founded by a “young Palestinian” named Jesus.

Another stated as fact that the Koran was revealed to Mohammed from God.

Yet another said ancient Jewish civilization contributed “very little” to to the arts and sciences.

Muslims discovered America, my ass. Cristopher Columbus with Castillan Catholic Queen Isabella’s money discovered it. No Muslims on board, sorry, King Abdullah. Jesus was, not “a young Palestinian”, but a Jew who descended from King David. Etc. etc.

What a bunch of illiterates. Modifying history to please their own political plans… and students “learning” history from King Abdullah’s hot dreams, instead of using serious History books. By the way, I would like to know how are Spanish-Muslim history books written.

China: 10,000 forced esterilizations on Puning county

Doctors in southern China are working around the clock to fulfil a government goal to sterilise — by force if necessary — almost 10,000 men and women who have violated birth control policies. Family planning authorities are so determined to stop couples from producing more children than the regulations allow that they are detaining the relatives of those who resist.

About 1,300 people are being held in cramped conditions in towns across Puning county, in Guangdong Province, as officials try to put pressure on couples who have illegal children to come forward for sterilisation.

The 20-day campaign, which was launched on April 7, aims to complete 9,559 sterilisations in Puning, which, with a population of 2.24 million, is the most populous county in the province.

…In Puning county couples with illegal children and their relatives who apply for permits to build a house are rejected. Illegal children are refused residency registration, a penalty that denies them access to healthcare and education.

Authorities have discovered, however, that those methods have less success than rounding up relatives.

One official said that an investigation would be launched to establish whether authorities in Puning had exceeded their remit.

…The county is under criticism from Guangdong authorities, who want to slow a population growth that is reflecting badly on the entire province. One reason for Puning’s large population is that families in the mainly rural region often have up to three or four children.

Many of those with extra children have left to find factory jobs along the more developed coast, taking advantage of being away from local government surveillance to give birth outside the quotas.

Rules in Puning, as throughout rural China, allow farmers to have a second child if the first is a daughter. After that couples must stop. By the morning of April 12 Puning officials said that they had achieved, in a mere five days, about half of their sterilisation goal after their “education” persuaded people to comply.

Iran: Increasing Qods Force presence in Venezuela

What a dreadful photo!!

Iran is increasing its paramilitary Qods force operatives in Venezuela while covertly continuing supplies of weapons and explosives to Taliban and other insurgents in Afghanistan and Iraq, according to the Pentagon’s first report to Congress on Tehran‘s military. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF), the Islamist shock troops deployed around the world to advance Iranian interests, “maintains operational capabilities around the world,” the report says, adding that “it is well established in the Middle East and North Africa and recent years have witnessed an increased presence in Latin America, particularly Venezuela.”

Blogosphere: Palestinian Zionist Organization is Founded

For the first time since pre-State days when Zion and Palestine were synonymous terms, a “Palestinian Zionist Organization” has been established – by Arabs.

The latest Arab to show his public support for Israel is Elias Issa, who describes himself as a “European West-Bank Palestinian.” He writes that he chose a unique approach by which to celebrate Israel’s 62nd birthday – namely, by launching the Palestinian Zionist Organization. He says his goal is “to show the world why it must support the Jewish people and to [distance itself] from the terrorist Palestinian government.”

Statements on the new website include warnings that a new PA state, if it were to arise, would “become the most terrorist state in the world… The Palestinians don’t believe in a two-state solution; they only believe in a one-state solution – a land called Palestine [which] does not involve any Jewishness.”

Issa, who now lives in the United States, explains that the international community is blind “to what’s truly going on in this Middle East conflict. [I hope] to make a difference by shining a different kind of light on the Palestinian-Israeli situation.”

The website notes that “more and more Palestinians” are going public in their support for Israel.

Those are good news, but it’s interesting that this hasn’t had a lot of publicity.
