The Togolese soccer team has pulled out of the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola after the team bus was ambushed by gunmen on Friday. Two Togolese team staff were confirmed killed in the attack.
… Responsibility for the assault has been claimed by the separatist group, the Front for the Liberation of the Enclave of Cabinda (FLEC).

Norway: Aftenposten reprints Mohammed cartoons

The Norwegian daily newspaper Aftenposten Friday reprinted cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed that generated controversy 2005 when they were first published in a Danish newspaper.”We have always defended media’s right to print these cartoons, and we printed a facsimile when the dispute began 2005,” Aftenposten editor-in-chief Hilde Haugsgjerd wrote.
The reprinting of the cartoons comes a week after a Somali-born man with an axe and knife was arrested breaking into the home of a Danish cartoonist who made one of the original drawings – of the prophet with a bomb in his turban.

As we can see here, most of Egyptian bloggers are really angry at the brutal killings of 6 Christian Copts (and their Muslim bodyguard) some days ago. For example:

But of course there are always some of those who blame everything on plots and foreign bad guys: no Egyptian Muslim can be a criminal.
The Egyptian blogger, Te3ma, on the other hand, believes that some foreign entities stand behind such incidents:

Yeah, of course, and the guy who killed the “hijab martyr” was part of a plot, too. No, there are killers in all places. The problem is when the ideology that fuels some of them is clearly backed up by the society in which they live. In Europe, the murder of the Egyptian hijab’d woman was news everywhere. But in Egypt the murder of this people have not even been reported by the MSM, as some of the bloggers are denouncing.
So who are really defending killing in the name of religion, hein? Bunch of hypocrites!
Note: I’m not referring to the bloggers. They do, as ever, a very good work, because they are reporting on these facts. I’m referring to those MSM and to Egyptian society in general: they are really backing these murders and other abuses on Egyptian Christian Copts with this shameful silence.

Iran: opposition leader Mehdi Karoubi shot at by mob
Iran’s most outspoken opposition leader has escaped unhurt after his car was hit by bullets as he fled from a mob of government supporters.
Mehdi Karoubi’s armoured car was hit at least twice as it pulled away from the angry crowd, breaking the front and back windows.
The shooting was an ominous new development in the seven months of internal strife that have engulfed Iran since June’s hotly-disputed presidential election.
Mr Karoubi, 72, has been attacked with bricks and teargas before but never with bullets.
