Italy: Al-Qaeda threat against MP sparks Muslim support

Italian MP and Muslim women’s rights activist Souad Sbai has received the support of hundreds of moderate Moroccan immigrant and Muslim groups after she received threats in an Internet video message by an alleged Al-Qaeda supporter in Italy.

“In the last few months, we have seen an outbreak of aggressive, extremist and terroristic Islam which is particularly dangerous,” said a statement signed by numerous immigrant and Muslim associations in support of Sbai.

“To try and hit the PdL (People of Freedom) MP is the equivalent of hitting all of us. That is why today we want to express our solidarity, but make it known that we are all Souad Sbai.”

These are good news. The sooner Muslims began condemning these actions, the better for all people.

Here we have the menaced MP. The letters in red say “one who has all the space that she wants, is a Muslim, enemy of all Muslims”.

And in this other photo it says: “those who have fought and died for Islam”.

We have already denounced the presence in Italia of a beautiful cell of Al-Qaeda, in a blog, a forum and a video in YouTube, one of which is rich in long sermons about Italian Constitution and which accuse the Government of not respecting it. One which is enemy of courageous people such as  Magdi Cristiano Allam, Souad Sbai, Loredana Gemelli,obliging them to live in poverty and under protection from State; one which menaces and intimidates journalists which, as the one who writes here, continue to write about Islamic fundamentalism in Europe, with legal action and direct and indirect menaces. Above all, that web we are speaking about is a place, that morifies citizens who live peacefully in Italy as the community from the Maghreb who has yesterday self-denounced itself to the terrorists shouting, “we are all Souad Sbai”.
The chief names himself as Usama, is probably Italian, probably with a Law degree and student of Shariah Law.He devotes a lot of attention to his writings in Internet, writes well and must be in his 30’s or his 40’s. He has begun the site on July 2007, probably the day of his conversion. He thinks of himself as a good poet and writes about Holy War, he guards himself and his anonimity, although the Italian blog Unpolitically Correct has discovered it and considered it regularly when speaking about Al-Qaeda in Italy and the Jihadist menace.

So he is an Italian convert…
